Poor oral hygiene is one possible and one of the most common cause of discoloration in one’s teeth. If you’re someone who constantly forgets to brush his teeth before going to sleep or if you don’t floss at all, you should start giving your oral hygiene a little more attention.

Some illnesses during the stage that the teeth are still developing can also cause discoloration to the teeth because of the complications that happen to the tooth, resulting to discolored areas of the teeth.

Another reason is the teeth’s exposure to certain kinds of medication also during tooth development. They can affect and alter the development of the tooth, causing for the teeth to be discolored.
