A great smile means better self-confidence
We live in a world where we are judged initially by our physical appearance and how we interact with other people. Men choose who they want to go out with by looking at which woman would look best beside him. Women choose men based on how good he makes her feel. But the bottom line is, everything starts with what our eyes see. You can’t say you started liking someone because of his personality. You can’t visually see personality can you? Of course you started noticing him first because of his looks, and his personality came later.
The importance of someone’s appearance is not always superficial. There are a lot of jobs that require looking good. Those who say that some employers are being shallow and prejudiced when they choose the better-looking applicants only base their decisions on their clients’ reactions towards their employees.
That’s why having a great smile is a big plus when you want to attract someone, whether a potential partner or an employer. When you smile, you radiate your confidence and you tell the person that you are confident about how you look. When you have a crooked smile or your teeth are not aligned, you are conscious of how people are going to look at you and focus on your flaws, thus affecting your self-confidence. You may not be the best applicant in a job interview, but when you feel conscious about how you look, you also exude that feeling and the interviewer can feel that you are not confident about yourself.
Braces and other dental procedures are very helpful to an individual and it’s not just about vanity or health reasons, but also to do with self-confidence and the individual’s perception of himself.
